Some of you are carrying the heavy burden of “needing to know”. This has prevented you from stepping into the things that I have planned for you with freedom, ease and eagerness!
When I called Simon and his brother Andrew, I did not fully explain all the details of what lay ahead over the next three years together. But, they heard my call and immediately left all they knew, all that belonged to them. When I called James and John, they too left all they knew, even their father, Zebedee! And they followed me.
Oh, my Beloved, I long for you to take my hand and step out with me. Look into my eyes. You can see the love I have for you. You can feel the tender care I have for you. I will let nothing harm you. Place your hand in mine now. Let’s go into the beyond of what you know.
Did I not promise to go before you? To prepare your way? Have I not walked in a way that leaves a path for you to follow? Have I not lit that path for you? And here I am now, with you, willing to walk forward with you on my arm! I am what you need to know. I am who you need to know. You do know me, but now you need to know you. And you need to know that you are ready to step out with me.
Give up that heavy burden. Instead, become child-like, vulnerable, open, and humble. Let the wonder of walking with Me wash through you. Awake! Yes, fully wake now! Let your eyes be filled with my light! See now, look into the beyond of what you know. Beyond what you imagined! I am letting you see more clearly now. And as you do, let your being be filled with awe and wonder, then step forward, bound forward without reservation!
Mark 1:19-20 NIV
When he had gone a little farther, he saw James son of Zebedee and his brother John in a boat, preparing their nets. Without delay he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed him.
1 Corinthians 2:9 TPT
This is why the Scriptures say:
Things never discovered or heard of before,
things beyond our ability to imagine—
these are the many things God has in store
for all his lovers.
