Your life declares the glory of God – your Lion Bites word for today

Today, raise your eyes off your circumstances for a second or two. No matter how pressed, no matter how depressed, no matter how busy, pulled, tired or stressed you feel, can you lift up your eyes to the sky for even a moment and consider what is happening above and around you? The skies – the heavens – are making a declaration of the glory of God. Just by being there the sun, moon, stars, planets, clouds and weather systems are a huge statement to every person on the globe about the glory of the one Almighty God. Every day, every night, the heavens declare the glory of God. From the dawn of time they have revealed the divine nature of God and his eternal power to all who have walked the earth (Romans 1:20).
 
And now, look at yourself. The Holy Spirit comforts you: ‘Precious child of mine, you are a created being; you are made by the very hands of God; formed by Him in your mother’s womb. Every day you wake up you are a statement to the world of the glory of Almighty God. Every breath you take is a declaration of who I am. Glorify me. Glorify me in the midst of your troubles and through your successes. Be at peace as you glorify me with your life.‘
 
Psalm 19:1-4a
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge.
They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them.
Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.
