Psalm 24:1-5Â (NASB)
The earth is the LORD’S, and all it contains, the world, and those who dwell in it. For He has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers. Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD? And who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood and has not sworn deceitfully. He shall receive a blessing from the LORD And righteousness from the God of his salvation.
Where is the temple in which my name can dwell? Who can build a house for me that I may dwell there? The earth cannot contain me and the universe is too small for me to rest my feet on. What is the offering that can be brought to me that I do not already own? (Psalm 50:9-12)
Yet all that I require is your heart. Though no man can build me a house, I choose to dwell in your heart. Though the universe cannot contain me, I would be found in your heart. Oh, that I would be your treasure (Matthew 6:21) and that you would allow me to fully dwell within you, because it is not a temple of stone or of bricks and mortar that I require, but a heart fully surrendered; free-will given over in order to house and carry my glory and presence. I choose you!
Psalm 24:7-10Â (NASB)
Lift up your heads, O gates, and be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in! Who is the King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O gates, and lift them up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in! Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, He is the King of glory.Â
