The praises of the people make a way for God.
You have seen and despaired at the state of your nation and the places you live and work in. You have cried out to God to see Him move in these places. People of God, it is time to start to worship and praise your God with singing and with music!
God has put multiple opportunities to worship around you – corporate worship (with others) and worship on your own or as a family. Look at what worship services are on in your area, your community; gather at as many of them as you can. You can’t get enough! If you don’t see these opportunities then why not get out a CD or a video or play an online worship meeting on your computer; start to sing along, exalt the Lord, lift up His name with your free praise.
I see groups of workers gathering in lunch breaks to sing together around a music player. They’ve worked past the awkward stage with each other and their environment and have now entered into a place where they are abandoned in to worship their God. Their praises change the environment around them, transforming and bringing life. I see school-mums and dads gather to worship together; different styles and streams, united in praise, as the angels in heaven. I see families sing together, training the Daniels of the future who will pray and praise their God with windows open in the heart of Babylon.
Your worship shifts things. If you want to see your nation, your living place and your workplace transformed then start to gather and praise.
‘Oh come let us adore Him!’
Psalms 24:5-10
They will receive blessing from the Lord and vindication from God their Saviour. Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, God of Jacob.
Lift up your heads, you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.
Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.
Lift up your heads, you gates; lift them up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.
Who is he, this King of glory? The Lord Almighty – he is the King of glory.
