Psalm 8:1-5
O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth, who have displayed Your splendour above the heavens! From the mouth of infants and nursing babes You have established strength because of Your adversaries, to make the enemy and the revengeful cease. When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained; what is man that You take thought of him, and the son of man that You care for him? Yet You have made him a little lower than God, and You crown him with glory and majesty!
“Who are you?”
These are the words that you have heard asked in your ears for many years; and these are the words that are continually taunted at you by the enemy. Indeed, many have heard them so much that they have even spoken them to themselves. I tell you to lift your gaze and look up to see the crown that I have put on your head. It is a crown of royalty, it is a crown of authority, it is a crown of sonship and belonging.
Look at the robe of righteousness that I have clothed you in: custom made for you. Look at the ring I have placed on your finger as one betrothed to Christ Jesus.
You are My child; you are a co-heir and I have clothed you in glory, righteousness and authority. You are one whose garments have been made spotless by the precious blood of Jesus.
So listen no longer to the accusing and questioning of the enemy. Refuse to listen or partner with those questions and doubts. Declare aloud what – and who – I have made you to be. Lift up you head, you are a child of the living God… and I love you greatly.
Isaiah 61:10
I will rejoice greatly in the LORD, my soul will exult in my God; for He has clothed me with garments of salvation, He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
