Ecclesiastes 3:1-2
There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven– A time to give birth and a time to die; A time to plant and a time to uproot what is planted.
Do you know the times and the seasons that you are in? In the natural this is the time of planting and of growth, as that which was asleep begins to awaken to new life. It is also now the time for you to sow and to plant. Be like the diligent gardener and farmer who tends his land, prepares the ground and plants his seed. Now is the time to sow into your spirit to see rapid growth in your life.
‘Lord, what do we sow?’, we ask. He replies: It is time to increase the sowing of my Word into your life, of sowing my presence into your life and of cultivating a deep intimacy with me. This is not the time to sow to the flesh or of fleshly self-indulgences, but of sowing to your spirit. As you continue to sow my Word and presence into your spirit, as a by-product and by divine design, you also begin to sow into other people’s spirits. That which you have put in bears rapid fruit and you begin to sow love, joy, peace, righteousness, patience, endurance, kindness, faithfulness and my presence. What you sow to your spirit now will affect others around you and will begin to bear fruit in their lives, which in turn will cause further growth in your life.
So what will you choose to sow in this season? Make no mistake, everything that you allow into your life is sowing into either your spirit or your flesh, good seed or bad seed. So choose to sow the good seed of the kingdom now.
Galatians 6:8
For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
