Washed afresh – your Lion Bites word for today

I saw a picture of the ocean, many beautiful shades of blue and green. The sun was glistening and gleaming on the water. The ocean was still and inviting, it exuded calm and peace. I saw many people about on the shoreline but only a few stopped to behold its beauty. Most just continued in what they were doing and where they were heading.

Those who had stopped started dipping their toes in the water. They were laughing in delight, wading in even further, slowly, until they were free to dive under and be enveloped by the refreshing coolness. The further from the shoreline they swam, the bigger the waves were – but they were not afraid, they did not battle with the waves and nor did they look back to the shoreline. They glided with the waves as if one with them and felt free to experience all of the vast ocean without hindrance or distraction.

So today, God beckons you to stop and behold His beauty. Come receive His refreshing water, come feel the invigorating power of His Spirit; come dive into the waves and be revitalised, come be renewed.
