Warhorse

Psalm 32:9
Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bridle or they will not come to you.

In the midst of battle the Warhorse knows how to turn to the left and to the right, with only a gentle guiding of the rider’s legs – leaving his rider free to use his arms to engage the enemy. His training has been long and arduous, but without it he would be of no use in the rider’s hands. He is not spooked, nor is he afraid of the sounds all around; instead he stays the course knowing how to move, as his rider moves.

The Lord says to us: ‘It is time, my people, to rise and take your place! I do not want to have to pull you along, controlling you through situations and circumstances, I would rather you would come willing, laying down your life before me and allowing me to lead and guide you with my love rather than discipline.’

Psalm 32:8
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.
