Wait and See

There are moments in life when things don’t make sense. 

Where you feel that you are waiting and longing for me to move.

In this season, where you can feel that you are on the cusp of the new thing, that you are standing so close to the edge of something new, I tell you today not to throw aside the dream I have placed within you. 

Stay strong in the waiting. 

There is value in the waiting, for the change is coming. 

While you long for things to get moving, for the damns to burst, and the fresh things of the spirit to flow, do not lose yourself in the despair of waiting.

I am doing a new thing but the timing must be right.

As you wait for my timing, don’t give in to the temptation to give up.

I know that waiting can feel unfair and the temptation to give up is heavy in this moment.

You must not entertain the voices that would distract you from your purpose. Do not entertain the thoughts that would push you to abandon what I have called you to.

You are stronger than you know; you can weather the storm. 

Do not despair the discomfort of this season – it is to prepare you for the new.

Pray: Spend some time praying for the global church body. Pray and declare that the body’s destiny will not be stolen and that distraction and despair must cease. Bless the body of Christ to remain strong and courageous.  

Philippians 4:4-9 (NIV)

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me – put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
