I see you, and I know you. I know every tear-stained, weather-worn and joy-filled line on your face. But I have also seen your fear at exposing that to the world. Every day you put on a mask that you think helps you to fit in and be acceptable to others. You dull your shine so that others feel more comfortable. Lies have been spoken over you that you are ‘too much,’ ‘too intense’ and ‘too spiritual.’
Beloved – hear my voice now; you were created with purpose and passion. Nothing about you has ‘too much’ of anything. You carry exactly what you need for the assignment that I have for you.
Look at me with your beautiful unveiled face, hold my gaze with eyes that shine for me, and take courage with a spirit that is in peaceful union with mine. Together, we will unmask you before the world. Free of fear and unaffected by gossip or circumstance. Your story; our story, will shine through and create space to allow others to live in vulnerability and authenticity by my Spirit.
Now is the time for my people to unmask, to live the way that I created them to live. No longer half-hearted, lukewarm or watered down – unashamed and free in who you are, and in complete union with me.
Activation:
Ask Holy Spirit to show you the areas of your life where you have been masked. Break agreement with any lies that you have believed about yourself in these areas. Now, ask Holy Spirit how he sees you. Allow time for your spirit to receive these truths about yourself.
In a prophetic act, reach up to your face and ‘unmask’ yourself. Ask the Lord to lead you forward into the freedom to be exactly who he created you to be.
2 Corinthians 3:16-18 (MSG)
Whenever, though, they turn to face God as Moses did, God removes the veil and there they are—face-to-face! They suddenly recognize that God is a living, personal presence, not a piece of chiseled stone. And when God is personally present, a living Spirit, that old, constricting legislation is recognized as obsolete. We’re free of it! All of us! Nothing between us and God, our faces shining with the brightness of his face. And so we are transfigured much like the Messiah, our lives gradually becoming brighter and more beautiful as God enters our lives and we become like him.
John 10:10 (AMP)
The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows].
