Turn your back on intimidation

Has a spirit of intimidation and fear been capping your God-given dreams?

In a vision I saw an immense concrete block – grey and large, covering most the land*. It had flattened the land and its sides reached up to the clouds. Everywhere the people went they could see the edges of this solid concrete block out of the corner of their eye. It brought fear and intimidation to the church and crushed the life out of many visions and projects.

It stood there for a generation… and then a change began. The people of God began to take on the mantle of Nehemiah. They took up a sword in one hand and a trowel in the other. They began to dismantle the concrete. They laid explosives, they brought down pick-axes and they smashed it up, bit by bit. Plants began to take root among the chunks of broken concrete; they pushed the sections apart. The rain fell and dissolved the stone, as if it were acid rain.

Turn your back on what has intimidated you and made you afraid.  Turn your back on what has said ‘no’ or ‘impossible’ to you at every turn. Take up your sword and trowel and begin to rebuild your cities. Have faith. The immovable will be moved. The blockages will be broken down and swept away. This is a time for Nehemiahs to arise!

James 4:7
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Nehemiah 4:15-18
When our enemies heard that we were aware of their plot and that God had frustrated it, we all returned to the wall, each to our own work. From that day on, half of my [Nehemiah] men did the work, while the other half were equipped with spears, shields, bows and armour. The officers posted themselves behind all the people of Judah who were building the wall. Those who carried materials did their work with one hand and held a weapon in the other, and each of the builders wore his sword at his side as he worked. But the man who sounded the trumpet stayed with me.

*for those of you in other nations – ask the Lord whether this applies to your country too. If not, please pray for your brothers and sisters in those nations who have faced this seemingly immoveable object
