Trusted Navigator

My child, trust me as the chief navigator in your life.

You have spent so long in the driver seat trying to follow me in your own strength that it has wearied you.

Remember, I am the way.

There is no confusion or hesitation in me.

I know where I am taking you and the route we are going.

If you let go of the steering wheel and move aside to the passenger seat, you will

make far more progress. Travelling with me is not exhausting. It is the journey of being

shepherded.

The shepherd takes the weight of leading the sheep – they simply follow, trusting in the route taken as they focus on the shepherd. He is their all-sufficient compass.

Remember, the journey with me will always restore your soul and lead you in routes of righteousness. And there is your joy.

Activation: Take time with the Lord asking if you are in the driver seat of your life (or any part) instead of letting the Lord have that place. If so, ask forgiveness and say, ‘Lord, I choose to move into the passenger seat and allow you to drive.’ You can picture yourself letting go of the steering wheel and moving across. As you do, allow yourself to feel the release of weight that change brings. Now ask the Holy Spirit to show you what restoration of soul He wants to do in you in that moment. Sit with Him awhile, drinking it in.

1 Peter 5:7 (TPT)

Pour out all your worries and stress upon him and leave them there, for he always tenderly

cares for you.

Psalm 23:1-3 (NIV)

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.

He makes me lie down in green pastures,

he leads me beside quiet waters,

he refreshes my soul.

He guides me along the right paths

for his name’s sake.
