The Spirit of the Lord says, “Let me be the one who leads! It’s time to put me in the position to lead your life. For too long, you have said that ‘the Lord is your shepherd’ but your actions have proven to be contrary to the statements you make as you recite the scripture. What I require is more than mere recitations, I require wholehearted agreement with the corresponding action.
I have said that if you are willing and obedient then you will eat the goodness of the land, however, what is required is both your willingness and your obedience to my ways of doing things and that means me leading. When I lead, I guide you to places of provision and safety. I guide you to wholeness, not lack. But do you believe me and what I have said? Will you trust me on the strength of my word and my previous victories in your life? Or will you continue to take the lead and walk ahead of me because your experience in life says that you know best?
I am the LORD. In your heart, there needs to be a realignment of roles and responsibilities. It is my responsibility to lead and guide you and provide for you. However, it is your responsibility to trust me to do so!
Activation:
It is the Lord’s desire for us to be rightly aligned with Him. Take this time to intentionally work with Him in assessing the alignments in your life. Invite Him to identify any potential misalignments. Ask the Lord the following questions, and as He reveals the answers to you, be sure to journal both the responses and any instructions He provides. Then commit to taking the necessary steps toward aligning with Him:
- Where have I been leading or taking on responsibility instead of entrusting it to Your leadership, Lord?
- Where have I taken on the burden of providing for my needs, safety, or wholeness/ healing, rather than allowing the Lord to carry that weight?
Psalm 23:1-3 (CJB)
A psalm of David: ADONAI is my shepherd; I lack nothing. He has me lie down in grassy pastures, he leads me by quiet water, he restores my inner person. He guides me in right paths for the sake of his own name.
Isaiah 1:19-20 (TPT)
“If you have a willing heart to let me help you, and if you will obey me, you will feast on the blessings of an abundant harvest. But if you are stubborn and refuse to obey, the sword will eat you instead.” The mouth of YAHWEH has spoken.
John 16:13 (AMPC)
But when He, the Spirit of Truth (the Truth-giving Spirit) comes, He will guide you into all the Truth (the whole, full Truth). For He will not speak His own message [on His own authority]; but He will tell whatever He hears [from the Father; He will give the message that has been given to Him], and He will announce and declare to you the things that are to come [that will happen in the future].
