At this time of year we tend to take time to review and reflect on the last twelve months.
God is reminding us that we have been pruned and refined. We have seen things stripped off our lives. We have walked roads of purifying and have felt the burn of holy fire gently removing what had put a stain on us.
As the calendar changes from 2012 to 2013 God also crosses us over from where we have felt we were ‘laid bare’ and he shifts us into a time of opportunity for unprecedented fruitfulness. He has opened a doorway into plenty. This new pasture that we can now walk into will be a place to grow healthy emotions, fruit that does not wither, productive relationships and blossoming gifts of the Spirit.
God calls this time in your life ‘the growth time’, the ‘fruitful season’ – it’s the time of being heavily laden with good things of His Kingdom.
What you have walked through now enables remarkable goodness to be grown in, on and through you.
You are commissioned and trusted by God to bear much fruit. I hear God say, ‘the season of growth has begun.’
John 15:2
He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful
