Things Above – your Lion Bite word for today

I have placed your feet strategically on the earth in a specific place and time.  I have placed you to stand firm, to hold the ground I have given you.  In this time, in order to stand, remember where you are seated.

Jesus is seated at my right hand.  He is above all earthly dominion and power.  Everything in heaven and on earth will bow before Him. His name is above all other names.  I have placed all things under His feet, and He is above all things.  And you, my beloved, are in Christ.  You are hidden in him, in this place of authority and power.

Set your mind on things above.  When your mind drifts into panic, worry and anxiety, when tempted to dwell on earthly rulers, take captive those thoughts and set your mind firmly on the truth of things above. 

Set your hearts on things above, on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith.  In Him, your heart is secure because he is the rock of your salvation, the immovable, the unchanging, the one who sustains all things by his word.

Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.  Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.

The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word.  After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
