The song of the redeemed is rising from the nations.
It rises like a fragrance might rise from a scented candle, spiralling heavenwards. Your redemption song rises too, carried out from you by the Holy Spirit, drawn upwards by the very nostrils of God*. As your song twists and turns – dancing – it mingles with other songs; they weave together – in and out – like steam rising from a cup of spiced tea.
Your song is important. It is a part of the melody, the praise of the redeemed. It is pleasing to God. Don’t allow fear to constrict your throat. Learn how to be loved and receive love – and then allow yourself to respond without fear of man.
Fear seeks to strangle the song of the redeemed but it is perfect love which casts out all fear.
Know that you are loved unconditionally by your good and perfect heavenly Father and that He loves to hear your voice and smell the fragrance of the praises of His people.
Revelation 5:9
And they sang a new song: “You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation. You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth.”
*Yes, God has nostrils! (2 Samuel 22)
