The Potter and the Clay

Do you feel the touch of My hand upon your heart?  Are you willing to allow Me to mould and fashion you according to My design and purpose? Are you willing to lay your life down, to give up your rights, and surrender your will to Mine?  Will you bow down to worship and give your life as a living sacrifice?

Upon the Potter’s wheel, your life does spin.

Upheld, moved, and contoured; fashioned from within.

Neither rhyme nor reason at times you do perceive,

But in My love and in My wisdom, your shape is Mine to give.

A vessel fit for purpose,

Consecrated, integral and strong.

Brimming with potential,

That you may release My Kingdom sound and song.

Allow the water of My word to wash you, as my Spirit moves upon your life, to fashion and mould you into the design of My will.

Jeremiah 18:1-6 (NIV)

This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord: “Go down to the potter’s house, and there I will give you my message.” So I went down to the potter’s house, and I saw him working at the wheel. But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him. Then the word of the Lord came to me. He said, “Can I not do with you, Israel, as this potter does?” declares the Lord. “Like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand, Israel.

Ephesians 2:10 (NKJV)

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Isaiah 64:8

Yet you, Lord, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.

Romans 9:21

Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for special purposes and some for common use?
