The place where you will know God’s peace

“The river is flowing fast, the river’s flowing fast and there’s no stopping it”. But what river are you in the flow of? The Lord asks, is it the river that flows from My throne, or is it the world’s river?

There have been times when you have felt that you were like a fish trying to swim upstream against the flow, in a river you did not want to be in. It is that river of the hustle and bustle and ‘dog eat dog’ of the world. You have felt that you could not stop this river and did not have the strength to swim against this tide of humanity. ‘Let me get off, let me out!’, you have cried.

Wait on Me. Seek My face. Look for that secret place deep inside your heart and once again find the peace that I have hidden there, that peace that surpasses all understanding. Allow My peace to grow and spread throughout your entire being, even into your muscles to relieve that tension and stress.

As you dwell with Me in that secret place, you will have rest and restoration. You will see that even though the hustle and bustle of the world continues,  you are now in another river, the river that flows from My throne which carries and supports you. It is here that you will know My joy and security. It is here that you will know My peace.

Philippians 4:6-7
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
