The perfect engine

I saw an engine for a car being built. I watched as each part was placed in the right place. I watched as it was bolted and screwed together and as pumps were added. I watched as it was tested as they turned it on. I heard the low rumbling as they went through the gear changes and it began to roar with power. I could feel the throb of the heart of this engine – even a sense of its need to move forward, for this is what it was created for.

I watched as they turned it off and fitted it into the body of a new car, and I watched as the car left the production line: new and ready for use. And yet it cannot go anywhere without its driver, who owns it and carries the ignition key.

YOU are the engine that Father has lovingly put together. He has filled you with every good thing from salvation through Christ Jesus, to the infilling of the Holy Spirit and to every word spoken from the scriptures. You are filled with his power. You are primed and ready to roar into life.

You have been placed into a body where all your components fit together in union with each other and that body is the Church. The one who owns and carries the key to your life is Christ Jesus.It is time for your engine to be turned on. It is time for you to roar with the power that has been placed within you. Jesus is turning the key.

Ephesians 4:15-16
But speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ, from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.
