The Father’s Protection and Care – your Lion Bites word for today

Psalm 17:8
Keep me as the apple of your eye; Hide me in the shadow of your wings.

Precious child of God, you are the apple of His eye! He adores you! He cultivates you and watches your growth like one who tends for a vineyard. He will ensure that you get the nourishment and pruning that you need, so that you grow like a highly-prized fruit in His vineyard.

All through this process He protects you under the shadow of His wings. Under God’s wings you will find rest and shelter from the scorching sun; from the frosts and the snowstorms; from the torrential rains and floods that would otherwise sweep you away.

Whatever your circumstances at this moment – when you feel the heat, when you feel the cold, when you hear the rain or see the flood waters, remember that you may see and feel the effects of these things around you, but they will not destroy you.

Remind yourself that His strong and powerful / yet soft and gentle wings surround you and protect from all the elements that might threaten to overwhelm you. Even when the storm is in full flight it will not rip you from His embrace. He will always keep you safe.
