Proverbs 11:24-25
One gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want. Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered.
A movement of extravagant generosity is about to sweep through the people of God. The media will watch and comment, the government will pay attention and the hearts of many will be turned towards Jesus because of the generous solutions that the Church brings to the problems of these days. This movement of financial generosity far eclipses any giving on a large scale that we may have watched and experienced before.
And God is marrying wise stewardship and wealth with mercy and compassion in His people in the hour, producing a people who can give, and do give, in extravagant and outrageous manners. His people will learn quickly how to spot a need, be moved by compassion, invest in the need and see a solution come to it.
But, before this grace moves through his people, God is asking you to reassess your wisdom in stewardship. The Lord desires that you would be trustworthy with money and to do so, He is requiring that you allow a process of refining and pruning to come to your heart and your mind, in order to chip away any misconceptions or religious perspective that you have about finances.
Inquire of Him – ask Him questions of how trustworthy you currently are and how trustworthy He wants you to be. As you endure this process, God will build within you the capacity to be a great steward of His resources, so that you might be one who He will raise up to invest in bringing solutions into some of the deepest and darkest problem areas in your world.
1 Corinthians 4:2
Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found trustworthy.
