The ball is in your court – your Lion Bites word for today

I heard the phrase, ‘The ball is in your court’. Circumstances have forced themselves upon you, squeezing things around you until it seems like you will miss – miss out, mess up or have a golden opportunity pass you by. But God reassures you that He has gifted you in every way to reach and return that ‘ball’.

Just as an elite sportsperson is finely tuned to turn even the fiercest return into a winning shot, so you are supernaturally empowered to make the move required.

Don’t just stand by and let these things happen to you – or not happen to you – but get back in the game and be bold and assured, for the Lord God is with you. The ball is in your court and God has given you authority to deal with it. Turn this circumstance to your favour, to your victory and to God’s glory. You can do it!
