Taste the pure honey

There is such sweetness from heaven to be tasted. Even here on this earth, surrounded by bitter and foul things, there is yet a Holy sweetness that can be tasted. The sweet things of heaven cannot be soured, will not mould, nor will they lose their flavour and fragrance. Taste and see that the Lord is good!

Don’t be satisfied with a drop of artificial sweetener; don’t settle for just a spoonful of sugar, dissolved in a cup of whatever else life is serving up. Instead, position yourself for the very best: there is a rich, golden honeycomb above you and thick, sticky, shining honey is dripping, running, pouring out of it. Don’t despise it, don’t settle for anything less than this best. This is for you… you are not denying anyone else if you seek God’s best for your life (after all, there is an unlimited storehouse in heaven).

It is time to rearrange things in your life so that you are right underneath God’s honeycomb that is pouring out for you. Move over if you need to. Get yourself right underneath where you see God’s best being poured out. Enjoy Him and enjoy all that the Father delights to pour out over you. Receive His love in all of its sticky, thick, wonderful, tangible, tasteable goodness!

Taste and see that the LORD is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him! Fear the LORD, you his godly people, for those who fear him will have all they need. Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the LORD will lack no good thing.
