Stand your ground and grip the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, firmly in both hands. Though the enemy has unleashed a great and both-barrelled attack against truth in these days, remember that God’s word is immovable and unshakeable.
Those who stand when the roar and the din is all around – those who do not shift or step back in the face of this assault – will eventually prevail. Beware of being drawn into skirmishes that are about protecting structures and systems that will one day crumble anyway but instead fix your eyes ahead and continue to enforce the victory that Christ has won. The gospel good news remains as true and real today as it was the morning that the women ran from the empty tomb declaring that Christ had risen! So stand your ground, face forwards and clench the sword of the Spirit with both hands.
Ephesians 6:13
Therefore put on the full armour of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
