I have heard your prayers and petitions. I have heard your prayers of intercession for the lost. I have seen the tears you have wept over those who have turned away from me and have heard your prayers for your exiled families, friends, neighbours, towns, cities and countries.
Be uplifted, your prayers are not in vain; neither are the tears you have shed. I hear your prayers for those who are prisoners. Believe for their liberation, even those who are restrained and confined by the evil one.
I am the Lord your God who breaks down the walls of captivity and the gates of bronze and bars of iron that encase those who have become ensnared and deceived. My power thwarts the plans of the evil one; my love sets the prisoners free. Even now captives are being set free.
Remain faithful and determined – faithful for the Year of the Lord’s Favour, determined in your prayer for release and restoration.
Psalm 107:10-16
Some sat in darkness, in utter darkness, prisoners suffering in iron chains, because they rebelled against God’s commands and despised the plans of the Most High. So He subjected them to bitter labour; they stumbled, and there was no one to help. Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and He saved them from their distress. He brought them out of darkness, the utter darkness, and broke away their chains. Let them give thanks to the LORD for His unfailing love and His wonderful deeds for mankind, for He breaks down gates of bronze and cuts through bars of iron.
