Set apart, not isolated – your Lion Bites word for today

Proverbs 18:1
A man who isolates himself seeks his own desire; he rages against all wise judgement.

I heard the Lord say, ‘There is a difference between separation and isolation and I call you to understand that I separate you from worldly ways but the enemy seeks to isolate you. Many of my children are isolated and cut off from those that I desire to join them with and, as a result, their growth is stunted and their flourishing has been limited.

See that I call you to a life that is ‘set-apart’ from the world but not cut-off and isolated from it. I have made you my body, not my bodies, and I long for you to come into connection and relationship with others, who you can journey together with into the depths of my nature and glory.

Reject isolation but welcome separation in the days ahead. I need a people who live from heaven to earth and do not partner with worldly ways – but I need them in the world so that they can change culture and bring heavenly transformation to earth.

John 17:15-18
I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world.
