Salt and Light – your Lion Bites word for today

You are the salt and light on your street, in your neighbourhood, at your workplace, your school and in your nation! You are the one who preserves and demonstrates my life! Yet, it requires your participation. Salt is only useful when it is used. Light is only evident when it is uncovered.

So, let your light shine! Sprinkle salt into conversations, social media and all your interactions. Let your light be uncovered! Yes, it might cost you something; give it anyway! It cost me everything, and I ask you to follow my example.

Let your light shine. Dare to stand out as one who is from my Kingdom and not of this earthly kingdom. Sprinkle Kingdom thoughts, words and deeds in order to push back the decay and death that is creeping upon the earth. Be brave! I am with you!

Matthew 5:13-16 NIV
“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
