Rest Is Your Weapon – your Lion Bite word for today

I hear the Spirit of the Lord say, “Rest is your weapon.” The enemy wants to distract you through the busyness and chaos of life, but the Spirit is saying fight back with the fight of rest. Rest in my presence, rest in my glory, rest in knowing that I am all you will ever need. Rest will be your warfare in this season. Be still and know that I am righteous. Be still and know that I am good. Be still and know that I have every answer you’ll need. Now is the time to rest and reflect, rest and reverse what the enemy has stolen from you! Rest is your weapon!

The Lord replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”

Mark 6:31 NIV

Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.”

Activation: Take extra time today to “rest” in His Presence. Ask the Lord what do you want to say to me? What do you want to show me in the Spirit? 

Pray this prayer: I long and desire You, Lord. Show me how to rest in Your glorious presence. It is what I need. I need You. I want to know You. Today I take the weapon of rest and fight back against the lies of the enemy. I am taking back time and devotion that has been stolen from me. What has caused chaos and busyness? I am taking time now to be still and know that You are God simply. You are enough for me. I repent for allowing the lies of the enemy to consume me and my life. I repent for being so tied down with busyness, hurry, false responsibility and distraction. Then tell Him how wonderful He is to you and rest in knowing that He is the God of the universe.
