Refining Fire – your Lion Bites word for today

I heard the Lord say, ‘I am coming like fire into your midst and I am burning off everything in your life that does not honour or glorify me. I am removing all things that would seek to hinder and prohibit your forward motion this year.’

You have wondered why you have been stuck or immobile and you have thought that it was God who had you holding still. Yet His desire is to move you forwards with momentum – but first you must allow Him to refine and sift you. You are carrying too much that is not for what is to come and if you begin the next leg of the journey carrying these things, it will only be a short while until you begin to slow down and stop again. See that this work of the Lord’s burning is not to punish you but to better you, so that you may walk in the fullness of what He has for your life!

And He says to you, ‘I am calling you into the furnace in these days but do not despise the fire, for from it will come fruitfulness and from the fire will come growth and from the fire will come acceleration. If you allow me to burn you and you allow me to refine you then I will promote you and cause you to run further and climb higher than you ever have before. 

I am coming like fire into your midst. Will you allow me to burn up what needs to go?’
