Psalm 66:10-12
For You have tried us, O God; You have refined us as silver is refined. You brought us into the net; You laid an oppressive burden upon our loins. You made men ride over our heads; We went through fire and through water, Yet You brought us out into a place of abundance.
I saw a large pot of liquid that was being brought to the boil before me. As it began to boil, impurities rose to the surface and were then removed and disposed of quickly and simply.
In these days God is causing that which is impure and unrighteous to be exposed and seen by you (not in public but in the secret place). This is not to condemn you but to allow him to refine and purify you so that you are ready for promotion and growth. It is because of the Father’s love and burning desire to see you used for His purposes that He seeks to put you through this process, but He does not push this onto you. This purification has to be welcomed by you.
The Lord reminds you that this is not a work of condemnation but of consecration and love. From sifting or refinement comes promotion and when you are pruned it is always for the purpose of growth and flourishing.
1 Peter 1:7
So that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honour at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
