Prepare for the rain

1 Kings 18:41-44
Now Elijah said to Ahab, “Go up, eat and drink; for there is the sound of the roar of a heavy shower.” So Ahab went up to eat and drink. But Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he crouched down on the earth and put his face between his knees. He said to his servant, “Go up now, look toward the sea.” So he went up and looked and said, “There is nothing.” And he said, “Go back” seven times. It came about at the seventh time, that he said, “Behold, a cloud as small as a man’s hand is coming up from the sea.” And he said, “Go up, say to Ahab, ‘Prepare your chariot and go down, so that the heavy shower does not stop you.'”

There is the sound of the roar of a heavy shower. It is the shower of the Lord pouring out of His Spirit on all flesh. If you were to look from the top of the mountain you would see nothing but the dryness that you saw before. – but there is the sound of the roar of a heavy shower.

Prepare yourselves this day, for the rain is coming. Like a heavy shower disturbs the ground and throws up the mud and washes all the dust away, so this shower will bring exposure to the dark and hidden things in the hearts of men. So prepare yourself this day for the shower, for the release of My Spirit upon all flesh.

Set your hearts and minds on the things above – on the things of My Kingdom. Loose yourself from the baggage that has held you back, and run! Run with the wind of My Spirit so that the shower will not stop you, but will become a refreshing and a strength to you. Today is a day of preparation and the cloud will soon become visible.

Joel 2:28-29
It will come about after this that I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind; and your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on the male and female servants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.
