Out of the Cave

Today the Lord says:

You come to me, for you want me, and you seek me with all your heart. Go to others, also seeking the best for them with all your heart. Share the parts of me that you know well, my forgiveness, my strength at difficult times, my challenge, my fear, my wisdom, my call.

When you are tired, you come to me. When you are weary, you come to me. When you are challenged, you come to me. When you are ill, you come to me. Of course! For you know the depth of my love for you.

You have heard about the harvest of souls, the harvest of the prodigals. I say to you again, grow as I stretch you, do not resist. Be emboldened in the Spirit in leading others and praying for them, and asking for miracles, signs, and wonders to come from the heavens.

Some are hiding wickedness in their caves, and others hide from the enemy of their souls. I see everything, including all that you yield to me, and all that you withhold. Let your cry be ‘Yes Lord, anywhere and anytime for you’. What is the cost? It is to come out of your cave. I call you to be unselfish with all that I have given you. See that I have provided you with all you need for the journey.

Bring others out of their caves through your life, through your influence, and your testimony, particularly how you have held on to me in desperate times. Keep standing solid on my foundation, and do not withhold blessing from others. For I provide an abundance of life which is not diminished by sharing it. Be the person with decisive cave-opening words and joyous encouragement for others.

Make me your hiding place rather than a cold cave. I give you what you need to be this person in your heart, and the challenge is for now, even in your weakness. Extol me as your Lord, not hiding in a cave, but in your mouth and your actions proving me THE Saviour and Lord for you and for others.

Do not forget who you are, a mighty servant of Almighty God.

Isaiah 2:19 (ESV)

And people shall enter the caves of the rocks and the holes of the ground, from

before the terror of the Lord, and from the splendour of His majesty, when he rises to terrify the earth.

1 Kings 19:12-13 (ESV)

And after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire the sound of a low whisper. And when Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his cloak and went out and stood at the entrance of the cave. And behold, there came a voice to him and said, ‘What are you doing here, Elijah?’

Psalm 31:1-2 (ESV)

In you, O Lord, do I take refuge; let me never be put to shame; in your righteousness deliver me! Incline your ear to me, rescue me speedily! Be a rock of refuge for me, a strong fortress to save me!
