In Chapter 7 of the book of Daniel, Daniel describes a vision he received of 4 great beasts.
These were powerful world rulers over kingdoms which seemed invincible, but as the Ancient of Days (God Almighty) sat in court and rendered righteous judgements, each kingdom came to an end. The vision continued, assuring us the Son of Man (Jesus Christ) will take his throne with power and authority that is everlasting:
As my vision continued that night, I saw someone like a son of man coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient One and was led into his presence. He was given authority, honour, and sovereignty over all the nations of the world, so that people of every race and nation and language would obey him. His rule is eternal – it will never end. His kingdom will never be destroyed. (Daniel 7:13-14 NLT)
The Lord would remind you today:
Hold fast to your faith and do not be overwhelmed by the evil you see around you. Neither be afraid of the shaking taking place in nations. Everything that can be shaken will be shaken, but my kingdom cannot be shaken and it will remain. Rulers rise and fall, but my purposes will stand firm forever. Continue to stand firm on the truth of my word and remember to fix your eyes on me and not on circumstances. Let me hold you secure and steady in the knowledge of my victorious love.
Activation: Take a moment to search your heart for any fears or doubts you may have. For anything that comes to the surface, repent and break partnership with it. Give it over to Jesus and ask what he would fill that space with instead.
Psalm 2:1-6 (NIV)
Why do the nations conspire, and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the Lord and his anointed, saying, ‘’Let us break their
chains and throw off their shackles.’’ The One in Heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them. He rebukes them in his anger and terrifies them in his wrath, saying, ‘’I have installed my king on Zion, My holy mountain.’’
John 16:33 (NIV)
I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
