No Cruise Control! – your Lion Bites word for today

In the change of season, as the days lengthen and you have space to get out more, don’t be distracted into taking your foot off the pedal. Don’t move into cruise control. Don’t lose your focus.

Press into this time. Press into what I am doing. Maintain the momentum. Keep your eyes fixed ahead. Do not turn to the right or the left. When distractions come, as they surely will, flick them off, for they are not worthy of your attention. Keep your eyes on the road ahead. This is not a time to freewheel but to maintain your speed and to maintain your awareness. Stay alert.

Press into me. I am your prize. Push past the distractions. Push past the voices that would dissuade you. Push past the unwillingness of your flesh. Persevere.

Ask me where to put your energy, your time and your focus. Ask me what I am doing right now. I will show you; I want you alongside me in it.
