I saw a hot-air balloon resting on the ground. The gas that fuels the fire was on full so that the balloon was fully inflated, filled with the hot air. The colours of the balloon were bright and vivid, drawing the attention of all who were near it. The people who saw it couldn’t help but comment on its beauty – the sun shining down on it caused the balloon to look its very best. Then my attention was drawn to the heavy sand bags that weighted the balloon and held it on the ground.
The Lord showed me that many of his children are like that balloon. They love to be filled with His Spirit and the affirmation that comes from those around them but, although they look good to many, there are heavy burdens in their life that ultimately hold them down and prevent them from flying.
You are meant for ‘high-altitude’! You were created to rise above the noise on the ground and let the Spirit of God lift you to new heights with Him – new heights of peace and joy!
Cut yourself loose from anything that would weigh you down and prevent you from flying into new heights with God. You are made for high altitude!
Isaiah 40:31
But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
