God reminds you that He is your strong tower and your mighty place of refuge.
His walls are deep and strong, impenetrable and unmovable. Within these very walls, there is a secret place, an intimate place; this is a bridal chamber that God has prepared for you.
God says “Yes, you are my warrior and yes, you are a mighty soldier in my army but, know this, you are also my love and my delight. I call you to pause for a moment and to take time with me. For I long to bring a deep rest to you, for the aching in your bones to be soothed, the weariness in your soul to be refreshed and for the cares on your back to be lifted from you.”
God is lifting you out of the battlefield and drawing you into a deep and intimate place with Him. As you ‘come away’ with Him you will be restored and then released to fight and to advance as a healthy, strong warrior.
Mark 6:31-31
Then Jesus said, “Let’s go off by ourselves to a quiet place and rest awhile.” He said this because there were so many people coming and going that Jesus and his apostles didn’t even have time to eat. So they left by boat for a quiet place, where they could be alone.
