Look up and see my wonder – your Lion Bites word for today

I saw the most wonderful display of light in many colours, lighting up a deeply dark sky (for it was at night, in the depths of winter).

The colours all represented different aspects of God’s nature and character, of His splendour and His glory. And the Holy Spirit reminded me then that it is when the skies appear to be at their darkest, in the depths of night and winter, that the ‘northern lights’ or the ‘southern lights’ can be seen. And, likewise, even when you have walked in a place in which you have felt seemingly alone and without light to guide, you can experience the sudden and wonderful revelation of my promises and of my joy.

I am coming in a breath-taking display of wonder, with a fresh impartation of faith to carry you through. Look up and receive the gift of hope and the certainty of my presence with you.

Colossians 3:1-2
Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honour at God’s right hand. Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth.
