Look to me, not the storm – your Lion Bites word for today
James 1:2-4
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
As children of God, we are not exempt from the storms and trials of life. When the storms of life crash in on you like breaking waves, how do you respond… and who do to you turn to?

The Lord reminds you today, ‘I promised that I will never leave you, that I am your protector and that I am your strong tower. Just as the rocks and mountains are shaped over time by the weather systems, I am indeed shaping and transforming you through what you would term the ‘storms of life’.
I have seen how many of you have grown weak through the storms and the wave-after-wave of trials that have left you barely able to catch your breath. And I come this day to give you fresh hope and to instill durability within you. It’s time look up my child, look to me, your strong tower and your protector. It’s time to gaze into my eyes of love and as you look to me and not the ‘storm’, you will know that what you are walking through is nothing in comparison to me, my power and my might. Once you regain this perspective, continue to keep your eyes fixed on me and allow me to strengthen you, allow me to protect you, allow me to sustain you.
Be encouraged – I will bring good out of every circumstance and although walking through the storms can be tough, I am using them to promote you from one degree of glory to another!
