“Well done, my child! I am so pleased that you have positioned yourself before me, so pleased at the choices you have made and the decisions you have taken to get yourself here. I know that it feels exposed but my people – your brothers and sisters – are coming too. You have gathered with my children at the foot of the glen and I am about to roar, down the valley and over all of you.”
As the lion roars, your old garments will simply fall off – his breath alone is just too strong for your old tattered clothes (it’s OK, you’ll see that they were just rags all along) to remain.
Again, you worry that you’re going to be exposed but please do not fear: “I, your Father, who loves you, am clothing my beautiful bride (that includes you!). She will be majestic, she is going to shine brightly in the glen, like a beacon”.
Song of Solomon 4:12-16
Your Lover: “You are a garden locked up, my sister, my bride; you are a spring enclosed, a sealed fountain. Your plants are an orchard of pomegranates with choice fruits, with henna and nard, nard and saffron, calamus and cinnamon, with every kind of incense tree, with myrrh and aloes and all the finest spices. You are a garden fountain, a well of flowing water streaming down from Lebanon.
Your Response: “Awake, north wind, and come, south wind! Blow on my garden, that its fragrance may spread everywhere. Let my beloved come into his garden and taste its choice fruits.”
