Today is a day of new life. I’m breathing life into your dreams today.
Some of you started this new year with a renewed hope and expectation, but already disappointment and the burdens of responsibility have clouded that vision of hope. But I say to you today, ‘forget what lies behind you and know that today is a day of new life for you’. Take time today to be still in my presence, and my presence will be to you like fresh dew and fresh drops of cool rain on a dry and parched land. Then your vision will clear and you will see with fresh sight the road I’ve laid ahead of you.
Then you will dare to pick up those dreams that you had forgotten, the very dreams and hopes that I breathe on today.
Philippians 3:12b-14 (NASB)
I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus. Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
