Let the bells ring out!

The bells ring out to declare that it is Christmas: Christ has come! You are being given a bell to ring; you are a part of the Christmas story.

Our Messiah, the Saviour of the world has come – God-incarnate. He is Emmanuel, God with us. He needed only a few short years – a fraction of human history – to achieve all that His Father needed Him achieve. ‘It is finished!’, He said. And then He ascended to Heaven. He had to go; it was part of the plan… He was not taken before His time… He did not ascend and make an early escape of earth’s atmosphere… He was taken up just at the right time, so that we could be the continuation of the plan.

YOU are the continuation of the plan that began at the first Christmas. The gospel is alive and at work on this earth right now – and you are making it happen! Grab hold of one of the bells that the angels have been ringing since the nativity – there is a bell for you – take it and run with it. Ring it out, ring it out across every place of influence God has given you!

Luke 24:44-49
He said to them, “This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms.”Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. He told them, “This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things. I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.”
