Let Me Steady You – your Lion Bites word for today

I am coming to you as the Father who holds you steady. Even as a father holds a young child who is unsteady on their feet, as they learn to stand, I am the one who steadies you in your wavering. I am your strength in your moments of uncertainty, in your moments of weakness. Trust my hand to hold you. Trust that I have got you.

Lean back into my arms, into my strength when you feel vulnerable. Feel my arms around you, feel my strength holding you secure. Pause at this moment as I breathe my life, my strength, my peace into every fibre of your being. Remember that you are in me. It is in me that you live and move and have your being. Remain in me, in my strength, in my holding of you.

Do not allow yourself to be tempted out of this place of security and strength into delusions of independent strength. Do not allow fear and insecurity to panic you into separation. Stay close and held. Let me hold you steady in my everlasting arms. I will not let you fall. I have got you, my child.

Acts 17:28 NIV
“For in him we live and move and have our being.” As some of your own poets have said, “We are his offspring.”

2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV
But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

Isaiah 35:3-4 NIV
Strengthen the feeble hands, steady the knees that give way; say to those with fearful hearts, ‘Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you.’
