Let God Arise – your Lion Bite word for today

You are dead!  You surrendered your whole life to me.  You died in the waters of baptism as surely as I died on the cross.  All of your old thinking, habits, mindsets, old ways, old patterns of behaviour, the good, the bad, and the downright ugly.  They all died, crucified with me.  I remember, very clearly and with great delight, every moment where you have reiterated that surrender to me, where you have handed over control and submitted to my rule and reign in your life. 

And yet, you are at war with dead flesh.  You are at war with mindsets and habits that are dead.  Speak to your flesh, speak to your mind, and remind it of the truth that it is dead.  I am the one who lives in you.  My Spirit is the one who leads the way.  He leads you into life, into righteousness, joy and peace. 

Refocus your gaze on me.  Let me bring my life into your everyday experience.  Where you feel like the old ways are not dead, let me come with my resurrection life to empower you to walk in my ways. 

Let me arise in you.

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.   The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20

For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. Colossians 3:3

For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin ~ because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.  Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. Romans 6:6-8

Activation

Allow Holy Spirit to show you any area in your life where you are battling with the old you.  Ask him to make these scriptures a reality for you in this area and ask him to empower you to walk in the Spirit and not in the flesh.
