Leave the Past Behind – your Lion Bites word for today

The Lord says, ‘Don’t look back.’ Move forward. Use every bit of energy He gives you to press ahead. Take new ground, don’t linger in old territory. Don’t repeat the same patterns. Set a new agenda – that of following fast.
 
The enemy wants you to live with regret and to hold on to disappointment. So don’t do it. Let the One who loves you speak new ways of thinking, new ways of doing, new paths to take. Let Him set the pace and break new ground.
 
Watch what He is doing and follow Him. If you have allowed yourself to be yanked back continually, make a declaration, ‘No more will I tread the old road.’ The Lord is forging on ahead of you, showing you the way to go.
 
Philippians 3:13-14
Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Isaiah 26:7
