Lay down the old stuff – your Lion Bites word for today

Is there anything that you’re holding onto that no longer has a value or a purpose in this season? Re-evaluate with God. He was your provider and He will be provider in the new season. You don’t need to carry around all the old things that were once of use – in fact, you need to set them down so that you can take on board God’s new provision for the new season. Don’t be like a heavy-laden donkey, stacked with all the ‘stuff’ that is now not much more than ‘junk’. Be a racehorse, sleek and prepared to wear the tack (horse equipment) that is suitable for the course ahead. Lay down the old so that you have room for the new.

Philippians 3:12-14
Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
