I am bringing you to mountain tops, a land of open skies, distant horizons, and immense possibilities.
There is a temptation at this moment to settle for the smallness of “this feels safe”. As Lot, when he was released from Sodom, wanted initially to run to the relative safety of Zoar, which means small, there is a temptation for my people to limit or restrict where I want to take them.
As you navigate this season, be aware of the enemy’s desire to cause you to settle for less.
I am making available to you the boldness, the courage, and the determination to press on, to push forward for the fullness of what is available.
Lift your head; grab hold of the glimpses of what is ahead and be encouraged to persevere.
Hebrews 12:2 (ESV) … looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
James 1:12 (NIV) Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
Prayer
Father God, where fear could limit me, or where the uncertainties of life could cause me to settle for less, what is the joy that you have set before me, at this moment, to help me to keep going?
