I Am The God Who Forgives

Beloved, why are you far from me? Why do you hide like Adam and Eve in the garden, ashamed of what you have done? Why do you hide your face from me and keep you distant from me? Ashamed of the sin you have committed, fearful of my nature and unsure of what I will say to you?

My dear child, I am not distant or angry. I am the God who heals and the God who forgives. I see your heart and the longing you have to walk in purity and intimacy with me. I know the person I have made you to be, and I delight in watching you take steps to become more like that person. I do not punish you when you stumble and fall.

When you repent, I am quick to forgive. I do not remember that which my son, Jesus, already washed from you in his blood. Am I not the running Father who, when the son was far off, was already running towards Him?

The moment you turn to face me, I am running to embrace you. There is no sin that I can not forgive, and there is no shame strong enough to keep me away. I am the ever running Good Father coming to embrace you and set you upon the path I have made for you. Today come to me, turn towards me and experiences the embrace that only a Father can give to you.

Luke 15:20 NIV So he got up and went to his father.

“But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.
