How is your garden looking? –  your Lion Bites word for today

In the natural we have to tend to our gardens; removing weeds, pruning plants and trees we want to grow and watering fresh seeds. So too, we must tend to the garden that is our hearts, taking care to help it thrive.

Father God is asking you today ‘What state is your heart in? Is there some weeding, pruning or watering needed?’ You may feel as though you have become dry due to various circumstances that you’ve walked through but today is a day to tend to your garden. Take time and start to water your heart with the Word of God; read it and let it wash over you and fill you with life. Ask God if there is anything that you need to weed out; the behaviours or pains that have crept in through life. Let God prune away what belongs to the previous season and not in this new season you find yourself in. Father God, He who cares for you and loves you with an everlasting love, wants to breath new life into the garden of your heart.

John 15:1-2
I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.

Song of Songs 2:1
I am a rose of Sharon, a lily of the valleys.
