LION BITES
Your word for today
Jesus is the only one found worthy of all honour, praise and glory
forever and ever. I hear the Spirit of the Lord asking, “What would you
give to see His glory, to have a glimpse of His power, to see signs and
wonders and miracles? What would you give to The Lord if He is offering
the fullness of Himself?”
For the Lord is raising up an army of people like Moses, who will not
depart from the mountain without seeing His glory. Like Jacob, they will
wrestle with God until they get their blessing. They are people like
Mary, who will spill the most costly oil at the feet of Jesus while
declaring, “He’s worth it all”. He is raising up Davids, who will
worship Him in complete abandonment because they have seen Him and
cannot hold back their adoration.
Jesus gave everything He had, becoming a man and dying on the cross so
that we could gain everything. Sometimes it cost us to gain more of
Jesus, yet He is worth everything.
Today the Lord is asking, “Will you lay down that which holds you back
from me? Will you, like David, give me an offering which cost you
something? For I am waiting for those, who will say yes to me, whatever
the cost. I have great adventures and miracles waiting for my people. I
am the God who appears to those who seek me with their whole hearts.
Ask God what you can give today to gain more of Him. Ask Him for a
boldness to follow Him and run after Him whatever the cost.
John 12:3 NIV
Then Mary took about a pint of pure nard, an expensive perfume; she
poured it on Jesus’ feet and wiped his feet with her hair. And the
house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.
Exodus 33:18-23 NIV
Then Moses said, “Now show me your glory.”
And the Lord said, “I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of
you, and I will proclaim my name, the Lord, in your presence. I will
have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom
I will have compassion. But,” he said, “you cannot see my face, for no
one may see me and live.”
Then the Lord said, “There is a place near me where you may stand on a
rock. When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and
cover you with my hand until I have passed by. Then I will remove my
hand, and you will see my back; but my face must not be seen.”
