Having life to the full – your Lion Bites word for today

John 10:10
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

Have you found the fullness of life? Fullness of life is not about earthly treasures, comforts or success. Fullness of life is obtained through fullness of relationship with Jesus Christ. Don’t look for fullness of life in earthly treasures, which are fleeting and transient. Make a determined shift to not measure your peace and prosperity in terms of how ‘good’ or ‘bad’ things are in your life.
Instead, pursue a new goal: to be, like Paul, content in all circumstances (Philippians 4:11) because fullness of life is found in fullness of relationship with Christ.
Turn your eyes again to Him and find your fullness in Him. Then you will be content knowing that when you are rich you have Him in everything, and when you are poor that you have everything in Him. That’s having life and having it to the full.

Philippians 4:11-13
I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
